Nick Griggs FIA

Nick graduated from Warwick University with a degree in Mathematics and joined Barnett Waddingham in 1997. Nick qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2004 and became a Partner of Barnett Waddingham in 2008. He is now head of the firm’s Corporate Consulting practice.

Nick provides advice to a range of corporate clients on a variety of issues, including risk reduction exercises and accounting issues. Nick has become an expert on PPF levy issues and has been responsible for developing the firm’s expertise on the D&B failure score methodology. Nick is also responsible for establishing the firm’s bulk annuity arrangement with MetLife in response to the problems faced by many of his clients. He also acts as Scheme Actuary to a small number of clients.

Nick is a regular speaker at client seminars run by the Cheltenham office.

Outside of the office Nick enjoys keeping active and is a regular on the golf course. Controversially, Nick is a keen snowboarder - much to the disgust of the other partners!
