Martin Hooper FIA

Martin started working in the pensions industry in 2000 after graduating from Nottingham University with a first class degree in mathematics. He qualified as an actuary in 2005 and joined Barnett Waddingham in 2006 as part of the acquisition of Higham Group’s Actuarial Consulting and Benefits Practice.

Martin advises both Trustees and Employers on a wide range of pension schemes including both final salary and money purchase arrangements. He has experience of all areas of actuarial consultancy work including valuations, investment strategy, benefit design, accounting for pension costs, member communications, wind ups and PPF assessment periods.

Martin sits on the legislation committee of the Society of Pension Consultants, one of the main functions of which is to review and respond to government on proposed changes to pensions law.
