Mark Underwood FIA

Mark graduated with a first class Mathematics degree from Manchester University in 1983 and commenced his career with General Accident Life in York working there until 1989 when he joined Barnett Waddingham. 

Mark qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1991 and became a partner of Barnett Waddingham in 1993.  Mark is responsible for the Leeds office and is a member of the Firm’s Management Board and Finance Committee.

Mark provides actuarial and consultancy advice covering all aspects of corporate pension arrangements and is responsible for a wide portfolio of clients.  Mark is also involved in the provision of expert witness advice.  Mark is a regular speaker on pension matters at both internal and external presentations. 

Outside of Barnett Waddingham Mark is married with two teenage children and in his spare time he enjoys participating in and watching most sports.  In particular, he is a keen cyclist and has the misfortune to be a passionate supporter of Middlesbrough Football Club.
