Ken Jones

Ken Jones has an MA degree in Maths and Engineering from Jesus College Cambridge. 

Ken moved to Garvins in 2006, taking over the running of their Small Schemes (SSAS) clients in January 2008.  Following the acquisition of Garvins by Barnett Waddingham, Ken moved to the Leeds office in June 2008.

After university, Ken worked with Duncan C Fraser and MPA, before moving into the teaching profession as a specialist mathematician at King Edward's School in Birmingham. Ken went on to work at Dame Allan's Boys' School in Newcastle-upon-Tyne as the Deputy Head Teacher, and in 2000 he took over the Headship of The Hulme Grammar School in Oldham until 2006.

Outside of work, Ken has interest in a wide variety of sports including rugby, football and croquet (former Welsh international). Ken is also a keen runner and has completed three marathons and several half marathons.  He is a regular fellwalker and has completed a 1,275 mile Land's End to John O'Groats walk and, more recently, a trek to Everest Base Camp.  Ken is a regular competitor in the Times National Sudoku competition in London, reaching the top 10 for the first time in 2010.
