Catherine Love Soper
Catherine Love Soper FIA
Catherine graduated from University College London in 2003 with a first class degree in Mathematics with Theoretical Physics and qualified as a Fellow of the
Institute of Actuaries
in January 2009.
Catherine joined Barnett Waddingham in 2010 where she concentrates on Corporate consulting. She takes a particular interest in liability and risk reduction exercises and longevity risk transfer. She is also heavily involved in scheme funding negotiations, advice on benefit redesign and advice on clearance with the Pensions Regulator. Catherine is also involved in advising trustees.
Before joining Barnett Waddingham Catherine worked for Punter Southall Transaction Services for nearly six years, where she provided advice to corporate sponsors and private equity firms in merger and acquisition transactions and on the ongoing management of their pension scheme portfolios before ultimate exit.
Catherine also has a passion for mortality and has helped developed the firm’s scheme experience analysis and other mortality tools. She is assistant secretary to the CMI SAPS Mortality Committee and the CMI Mortality Projections Committee.
