Ben Roach FIA


Ben Roach moved to the Leeds office of Barnett Waddingham in 2006, having spent 7 years in the firm’s Cheltenham office.

Ben qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2005 and became a Partner of the Firm in 2011.

Ben is Scheme Actuary to a number of pension schemes and has a particular interest in actuarial valuations under the new scheme funding regime and accounting standards. He also advises employers on their pension arrangements and has experience of scheme mergers, sales and purchase work, and other corporate transactions. He is a regular speaker at trustee training events and other seminars.

As well as his client responsibilities, Ben is secretary of Barnett Waddingham’s Pensions Actuarial Technical Committee, which considers important topical actuarial issues and ideas and recommends firm-wide practice and techniques. He is also a member of the firm’s Corporate Advice Team, which considers current pensions issues from an employer perspective.
