Ben Pullen graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Economics and Mathematics in 2000 and joined Barnett Waddingham later that year. Ben qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 2005 and was made an Associate of the firm in 2007. In September 2009 Ben transferred to our Bromsgrove office from Amersham where he headed up a team of actuarial students and qualified actuaries.
Ben holds a number of Scheme Actuary appointments and advises trustees on all aspects of defined benefit pension schemes. In addition Ben advises several companies on pensions issues. Ben is also a regular speaker at Barnett Waddingham's breakfast seminars and in-house Trustee Training sessions.
As well as his client responsibilities, Ben is a member of Barnett Waddingham’s Pensions Actuarial Technical Committee, which considers important topical actuarial issues and ideas and recommends firm-wide practice and techniques and serves on the NAPF’s actuarial panel.
