Alison Hamilton FFA

Alison graduated with an honours degree in Mathematics and Physics from Glasgow University. She joined the Glasgow office of Barnett Waddingham in 2006 to help grow our Local Authority and Public Sector actuarial business and is now one of the partners in this specialist area.

She began specialising in advising public sector funds in 1994, qualified as actuary in 2000 and shortly thereafter becoming a partner of Hymans Robertson. Alison has advised nearly half the Local Authority Pension Funds and has also managed the actuarial teams who provide specialist advice to these public sector clients and their employers across the UK.

Alison is our member representative of the Association of Consulting Actuaries Local Government Pensions Sub-committee and is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences dealing with public sector pensions issues. She remains committed to the improvement of pension issues for all.

Alison is married with 2 young children, so most of her other interests are on hold for a few years to come.
