Corporate Social Investment

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the way in which a company aligns their values and behaviours with their relationship with their employees and their impact on the economy, environment and society and demonstrating that they are managing this impact and where possible working to improve it.

We decided to rename CSR for Barnett Waddingham to Corporate Social Investment (CSI) as we believe it is investing in the future.

When considering CSI we decided to focus on four main areas

·          Marketplace
·          Workplace
·          Community
·          Environment

The firm has allocated a CSI budget, which will be split between 3 main areas - charity donations, matched funding and to cover the additional costs of some CSI projects (i.e. fairtrade products).  It has also been agreed that eligible members of staff can take up to one day per year to undertake voluntary work.

For any further information on Barnett Waddingham’s CSI work, please contact Steph Gold.
